Please read carefully! By submitting payment for a commission from me, you are confirming that you have read and agree to these terms.
By agreeing, you also confirm that you are allowing my terms to override any other terms you may be following, personal or otherwise.
Failure to abide by these terms will result in cancellation of your commission.
The following forms of contact are acceptable:
Please respect that I prefer to keep small talk to a minimum.
1. References
Please submit an accurate, up to date and preferably unshaded reference image of all characters. If certain important details are not clearly visible on the reference sheet, please state them concisely in writing.
I can work solely off written descriptions of the character, or a combination of descriptions and visual reference (such as a species information sheet). However, if no visual reference of your specific character is provided, your commission is subject to a design fee.
2. Prices and price quotes
Prices depend on factors such as the complexity of the characters, the number of characters, and the level of rendering requested. This means the quoted price may differ from the base price.
A price quote expires after 30 days.
3. Payment
International (non-Belgium): I accept paypal only. I will invoice you. Do not send payment in any other way!
All prices are in US Dollars.
Belgian: In addition to paypal, I offer the option of paying via bank transfer.
Payment must be made in full before I start. I do not accept payment plans.
4. Refunds
Refunds are offered on a case-by-case basis.
If the commissioner approves the completed piece, no refund will be available thereafter.
If the commissioner cancels, refunds are offered as follows:
a. For commissions that have not been started: a full refund
b. For commissions that are in progress: a partial refund depending on work completed
If I cancel, the commissioner will be made whole through one of the following options:
a. a full refund OR
b. a partial refund depending on what has already been completed, and the piece with the progress completed thus far provided to them.
5. Work In Progress and Contact
Before a sketch is inked, it will always be shown to the commissioner for approval. I will also provide additional WIP pictures at my discretion or on reasonable request.
I reserve the right to visibly watermark WIP images.
If contact from the commissioner's end ceases during the commission process and cannot be resumed within 3 months, I will consider the commission abandoned. A refund will be provided based on the work that was already completed, to the paypal address used to initially pay for the commission.
6. Alterations
I will make two minor alterations to a sketch for free. Alterations after the first two will incur fees depending on the magnitude of the change, at my discretion.
I draw based on the reference provided. If I make an error in an element clearly outlined in the reference or description, this will be changed free of charge and is not part of the two-alteration limit. If an alteration is made to correct an element that was drawn as specified by the reference, this counts towards the two-alteration limit.
Changes to a sketch such that the sketch must be largely re-drawn, will be done for free only once. Second and subsequent changes of this nature will incur a fee to 50% of the initial quoted price.
7. Deadlines
If you have a deadline for your commission, please state as much before the commission is started.
I may not be able to honor requested deadlines if they are very close to the date of when contact with the commissioner begins. If this is the case, I will let you know beforehand so that you can decide whether or not to proceed.
If no deadline is specified, I will take as much time as I need to complete the commission in a satisfactory manner. During this time you are welcome to contact me and inquire about progress.
8. Prints, lamination, etc.
I cannot offer prints, lamination, shipping, or similar services at this time.

I further reserve the right to use rejected sketches for the same purposes.
10. Your rights as the commissioner

Under no circumstances may the commissioner remove or cover up my signature or watermark.
11. Conduct
The commissioner is expected to behave appropriately. Rudeness, harassing or threatening behavior, or other unacceptable conduct may result in the termination of your commission.
I reserve the right to cancel a commission for any reason. I furthermore reserve the right to decline to do business with any person at my own discretion, at any time.
I can talk to commissioners in English or Dutch. Failure to communicate effectively in either language, to the extent that I am unable to understand what the commissioner wants, may lead to my declining a request or cancelling an ongoing commission.
